Abatis Training

On Thursday, November 8th, A Squadron Assault Troop and I deployed to the training area to get some hands on practice of logging Ops. Other soldiers amongst the Squadron who have the Assault troop qualification also joined us. Our leadership’s intent was to get out and show soldiers of the Assault troop who have not used a chain saw before their basic operation and safety.

Sabot Dragoon

From the 19th of October 2012 to the 23rd of October, A Squadron, of The Royal Canadian Dragoons, took part in a live fire training exercise called Sabot Dragoon. The goal of Ex. Sabot Dragoon was to refresh and re-institutionalize gunnery drills and crew skills in old and new gunners in the squadron as well as crew commanders.
