ATLANTIC REGION NEWS
AFTER ACTION REPORT.......GREETING'S MEMBERS.
The Annual "GATHERING-OF-DRAGOONS" ATLANTIC CHAPTER, BBQ and Dance...By ALL those who were present, the over whelming statement was that of "WONDERFUL".
The weather, the food, the band and all those who attended had one heck of a good time...For the members who SAID they would attend, and DID-NOT, and DID-NOT let us know--well that just NOT-CRICKET.
The HIT of the gathering, of course were the members them self's who have not seen each other over the years. They came from far and near, Alberta, Ontario, Price Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick...To ALL those who Attended,
WELL-DONE-YOU.
The second HIT of the night were The "LINE-DANCING-LADIES" who put on quite a display of ACROBATICS, perhaps for the next year's EXTRAVAGANZA "CRASH-HELMETS" may be advisable.
The third display of the night was the "SELF-PROPELLED-MOBILITY-SCOOTER" doing the "NASCAR-SLALOM" course on the dance floor, put on by two members who managed to avoid any major collisions with the DANCER'S. As one of the Line-Dancing-Ladies assumed full control of the "Mobile-Wheel-Chair-Vehicle", "CRASH-HELMETS" will definitely be issued for this future event.
On the Admin side of events, Mr. Doran Vienneau, was duly elected as the next Chairman/President of The Atlantic Chapter.
Soon after he was seen deeply engrossed in conversation with Higher Authority-Mr.Raymond Ward as to the "perks" of his new position, and Mr.Don Murrin as to the viabilities of the "STEAKS".
The Band did not want to stop playing, some members tied themselves to the patio benches, but in the END, ALL departed in good faith and spirits. And to All a GOOD-NIGHT, and Thank you very much for coming.
The NEXT "Gathering-of-DRAGOONS" Atlantic Chapter, BBQ & DANCE will be held on SAT the 11th of JUNE 2011 at CFB GAGETOWN NB. WO/SGT"s Mess Annex A-4...Take NOTE, and mark it on your calendars, and hope to see you all again.
Of Hit's and Misses...C Sqn and the RCD personnel of Armour School are as busy as ever at this time of the year (July), however they have promised to participate the following year...Also the Commanding Officer of The RCD, LCol Cross was in the area, and I had a quick conversation with him as he was on his way to Miramichi NB and could not join us for the BBQ. Perhaps later, in Aug during the Grad Parade of the Phase 4.
Final Note on Departure;
A certain member of this Chapter on departure from the BBQ, finally gets home, and into bed and feeling young and aroused, and as his wife gets in bed, he say's "I am going to make you the happiest woman in the whole world", his wife looks at him, and replies, "I WILL MISS YOU, DEAR".
