Message from The Commanding Officer
Ladies and Gentlemen,
As a result of the Regiment's upcoming participation in Exercise Maple Resolve in Wainwright, the dates of the Leliefontein 2011 celebration have been adjusted from what you might normally have expected them to be. The intent with this brief message is to allow sufficient lead time for calendar deconfliction so as to ensure that we are able to achieve maximum participation in what amounts to our regimental family reunion; a family reunion during which we expect to be able to acknowledge the achievements of the likes of LGen Chris Davis, MGen Matt MacDonald, MGen Mike Ward, Col Mike Cessford, Col Bill Brough, LCol Ryder-Burbidge, Capt Tom Skelding, MWO Terry Chesterman, Sgt Randy Payne and a host of others. Given the size of this august group, it is my commitment to you to acknowledge their careers with the dignity and respect they deserve, and more importantly, to do so in the most concise manner possible… While full details will be promulgated in the fullness of time, for planning purposes, you should consider the following:
