The Snowmobile Ride for Dad
2011 was the inaugural year for the Snowmobile Ride For Dad, which raises funds to fight Prostrate Cancer. 125 sleds with 165 riders registered and the group managed to raise around the $25000+ mark. The event was supported by a team of volunteers from both Petawawa and Pembroke. The Brigade itself provided a number of LUVWs and a few soldiers from 427, Base Imaging, Fld Amb, 2 MP Pl, 2 RCHA and 2 Sigs. The support from the Brigade (soldiers and equipment) was a contributing factor of the overall success of the event and reflected positively on the Brigade and the CF.
In ancticipation of the 2012 event the RCD is looking to assemble a team so that we might participate under the Regimental Flag. This event is open to anyone wishing to join (serving members, retired members, civilians and family).
